Hello Blog world. I guess my first post should answer the question, "Why have you decided to join the blogosphere?". Well I'm not sure really. I didn't want to be last? No, that's not it. My wife and kid's really wanted me too? Partially. Their encouragement is a big part of anything I do. I enjoy reading and keeping up with many blogs in the Christian world and have gained alot from them. So I wanted to be like the famous bloggers that I read? No, that's not it either. I guess I have been thinking about doing this for 6 months or so but have been unsure. I have a group of about a dozen or so friends that I correspond with via e-mail regularly. These e-mails are uplifting, challenging, sometimes argumentative and informative and they always rotate around some aspect of the Lord Jesus Christ. Most of the posts on this site will be similar. I'll have quotes, some of my own thoughts, guest bloggers, who knows what. No limits really. It will get really weird up in here at times because I am an odd man with an odd way of looking at the world. If you don't believe me ask the guy I am getting ready to talk about. Be patient with me as I make changes here and there to the sight. I am a newbie.
Mark Asbell has become a very good friend over the last 2 years. He and his wife Shawna (that's them in the photo. Mark is the one with short hair) were the Home Group leaders in my first Home Group and they inspired my wife Cheryl and I to lead a Home Group which we are doing presently. Mark started blogging some months back and in one of his posts he made an off hand remark wondering why I didn't blog. Well, I had been thinking about it for a while and this remark by Mark was the last straw, so to speak. One thing I learned from Henry Blackaby early in my Christian walk was that when God speaks, he will usually confirm what he is saying through Christian brothers. Well, this question from Mark was the final confirmation for me and here we are. Now would I have ever started blogging without Mark's comment; the world may never care (I meant to say know). But atleast now you know why I have titled my first post as I did. To answer the question: It's Mark's fault.
